This has been the very best Christmas EVER!! It was such a great day. No g'parents got to be with us this year but we had fun anyway. Lots of presents, yummy mexican food, and a long full day of just being together playing with new toys and having fun. It was a day of smiles.
Today was just as good. We got Meg a new desk for her b-day. She got it early b/c she picked it out. Today Honey put it together for her and hung pix and helped her work on her room. OH, what a difference! Her room is so much nicer and she was very happy. She ran to find me downstairs.."Mom come look at my *new* room!"
She shows it off to everybody else then... (this was great!) her siblings decide to give her another b-day present early since Wingcousins are coming tomorrow and we don't want them to miss this! Nana and G'pa helped them get her a LOTR sword and a big shield!! She was totally surprised, which doesn't happen very often.
I can not even begin to describe the happiness! Not that she is usually unhappy or sullen. On the contrary, her normal disposition is cheerful and pleasant. BUT this was way over the top, super happy, and very surprised. There was no way to wipe the smile off her face! It was so great to see her so happy. I almost cried.
Then....(can you believe there is more?) I meet the mailman and he is bringing a box that has been returned to sender. Her. This is a box that we sent a long time ago and feared was lost. It was full of some of her favorite cds and some presents for her friends. We've been praying for this box to find its way and it did! Oh yes, it was a good day.
I really can not remember ever having 2 days in a row that have been so full of greatness. And tomorrow.....WINGES!!!! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!
Meg reminded later that tomorrow is Wings, then her b-day, Visit from Nana and Gram (?), Superbowl, Valentines Day, and 5 birthdays in a row! Let the fun begin!
