In our regular reading was Psalm 32. The theme is forgiveness. Imagine that!
It turned out to be a good reminder for all of us. So we talked about it and slowly I saw the faces of my children change. They apologized to each other and my mother heart smiled.
Boy could I relate! Like my 2 squabblers I tend to cling to my right to my tape measure, willing to risk relationships in an effort to keep what was never mine to begin with. It always seems important at the time but later it turns out that it was all silly and didn't matter at all. As I was listening to my kids explain what happened, I just wanted to roll my eyes and to somehow make them see how dumb this was.
I wonder if God does that with me??
