How could this be?! My 4yo made his bed this morning and when I went to check it, his favorite pink blanket was on the floor. He had his Spiderman blanket spread neatly over the bed with the Spiderman pillow on top. He was very proud and said that from now on he only wanted a Spiderman bed. Well, that was fine but when I suggested that we fold pink blankey and put it on the foot of the bed, he said "no thanks". He wanted to put it in the blanket cabinet with all the other extra blankets. I asked him if he thought he might want it tonight when he sleeps and he assured me that he only wants Spiderman on his bed.
He has loved this pink blanket since he was little bitty. It has had to be repaired many times. He hates for it to be washed but loves the way it smells when it comes out of the dryer. He took it to the doctor with him when he had his first real sickness when he was two. He grabs it off his bed to snuggle with me on the couch. How can pink blankey days be over? What a sad day for me. My baby is growing up.
