We make these cookies every year for Easter.
It's a super simple cookie recipe where each ingredient represents a portion of the Easter story.
I gather them all up and help with the recipe while someone else reads the Scripture that goes with it. This year our reader was LB.
A cup of sugar representing the sweetness of Jesus.
Making white peaks to remind of the fact that when we are forgiven it is as though we are white as snow.
The cookies go in the oven (tomb) to wait for morning.
Each little cookie represents the tomb where Jesus was laid. And in the morning they will be puffy and hollow. Empty inside just like the real tomb when His disciples discovered that He is RISEN!!

I have never heard of these before. Did you take a picture of the 'empty' cookies?
well....they didn't turn out so empty....LOL
Yeah, some years they don't turn out as nice as others. This was one of those years. They still taste great though!
